Nina is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, Intuitive Healer, Mindfulness Guide, Parent Consultant, and Pilates Teacher — and a loving mother to two heartful children.
Her Buddhist name, Khema, meaning secure, well-composed, settled, was given to her by her teacher in 2015. Earned through her own trials and difficult transitions, it serves as a daily reminder that inner refuge is possible — for herself, and for the people she walks alongside.
Her Background
Nina holds a BA in Psychology and is accredited with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada. She is a certified Parent Consultant and Course Facilitator for the Neufeld Institute, with decades of experience supporting at-risk youth and adults, formerly serving as Primary Therapist at the Paradise Valley Healing Center in B.C.
Her Practice
Nina approaches healing as a whole-person journey — integrating relational therapy, intuitive guidance, somatic mindful movement, and contemplative practice. As a certified Pilates Teacher, ocean lover and nature practitioner, she understands that the body is as much a part of healing as the mind. As an Intuitive Healer, she receives images and insight that speak directly to what her clients carry — offering clarity that goes beyond the surface.
Her Spiritual Path
A long-term Theravada Buddhist practitioner, Nina completed advanced lay training under Ajahn Sona at Birken Forest Buddhist Monastery. She considers herself a lifelong student of the Dhamma, and leads Mindfulness and Heartfulness Workshops for adults throughout British Columbia.
